OFS Film Studies Scholarship

The Ojai Film Society Scholarship at Brooks will be awarded in December 2008 to an outstanding student who is attending a full-time film studies program at Brooks Institute of Photography. The $4,000 scholarship is open to Brooks students who can submit a sample film along with the Scholarship Application and three recommendations – and can claim primary creative responsibility for the film submitted.

Over the past 9 years, the Ojai Film Society has provided scholarships to worthy film studies students while honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to our community and to the film industry.  For a list of recipients, see below.

Funding for the scholarship is dependent upon local residents who appreciate the extraordinary service the Ojai Film Society provides every Sunday afternoon at the Ojai Playhouse, and from people who wish to encourage gifted young filmmakers.
